Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Community CRC is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Community CRC members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the baking goods for Sunday services, to serving on the worship team.

Mission Outreach

Community CRC is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. The four missionaries from Community CRC are located in three countries — Africa, India, and the US.  We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community. Visit our missionary page for more information.

Worship & Music Ministry

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our worship and music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. Still others get involved in various aspects of our worship service. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of Community CRC, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Ushers & Greeters

The usher-greeter team at Community CRC fills an important role. They are involved in welcoming attendees on Sunday morning, directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher-greeter team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Community CRC. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes through the website social sites like Facebook, and weekly emails and newsletters sent through ConstantContact.

Prayer Ministry

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Community CRC is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Throughout the week, prayers are shared with those on the Prayer Email and prayed over by individuals. Each Tuesday morning, the church comes together for a special time of prayer, in the church sanctuary.

Children & Youth Ministries

Through a number of ministries, Community CRC provides opportunities for children and youth of all ages to come together, build friendships, and grow in Christ. Children & Youth volunteers are selected, screened, and trained for this important ministry. Volunteers find that their ministry is personally rewarding, and both the adult and youth grow in the process. Visit our Sunday School, GEMS, Cadets, Bridge, and Youth Group pages to learn more about these vibrant ministries!
